There’s no better medicine for the mind and body than nature.
Hwadam Botanic Garden is an arboretum established and operated by the LG Evergreen Foundation as part of its many public service projects. The project was approved in April 2006 to be constructed on 165,265 m2 of land located in Doung-ri, Docheok-myeon in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province.
Officially opened in 2013, Hwadam Botanic Garden is home to 16 themed gardens and around 4,000 species of native and imported plants.
Hwadam is not only a tourist spot but also an on-site research facility that aims to restore endangered plants and animals to their natural environment.
